Twelve counties, 245 towns, one base in Raynham
Modern Remodeling works within about a hundred miles of Raynham: the South Coast and South Shore, Boston and the towns around it, Worcester County, the North Shore and Merrimack Valley, and Cape Cod and the islands. Every town has its own page, built from its own census figures.
Pick your county
South. Bristol, Plymouth and Norfolk counties, closest to Raynham. Metro. Boston and Middlesex County. Central. Worcester County and the eastern edge of the Pioneer Valley. North. The North Shore and the Merrimack Valley. Cape. Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket.
Bristol County
Bristol County is our home county, and its housing runs wider than most people expect, with dense older city blocks a few miles from subdivisions built since 2000.
Plymouth County
Plymouth County runs 27 towns, and census figures put their median year built anywhere between 1943 in Hull and 1983 in Lakeville.
Norfolk County
Norfolk County holds dense pre-war housing in Brookline and Quincy, older single-family towns like Milton and Avon, and 1980s subdivisions in Franklin, Norfolk and Wrentham.
Suffolk County
Suffolk County's housing is old and dense, with median build years between 1938 and 1961 across Boston, Chelsea, Revere and Winthrop.
Middlesex County
Middlesex County holds some of the oldest housing we work in and some of the newest, often only a few towns apart.
Worcester County
Worcester County holds a city where the median home dates to 1951 and hill towns where half the houses went up after the mid 1980s.
Essex County
Essex County has coastal towns where half the homes predate 1940, inland towns where the median house went up in the 1970s or 80s, and two large cities with a different story again.
Barnstable County
Census figures put the median year built in every Barnstable County town between 1970 and 1987, yet a Bourne house from before 1940 and a Mashpee house built since 2000 need different work.
Dukes County
The six Martha's Vineyard towns of Dukes County sit roughly 39 to 48 miles south and southeast of Raynham, and every trip starts with a ferry.
Nantucket County
Nantucket County is one island and one town, with a housing stock split between houses older than 1940 and builds from the last twenty years.
Hampshire County
The eastern and central towns of Hampshire County hold some of the oldest houses we drive to and some of the newest.
Hampden County
The seven eastern Hampden County towns we cover sit 59 to 75 miles west of Raynham, and their houses split by age more sharply than most counties.
Service area questions
How far from Raynham will Modern Remodeling travel?
About a hundred miles. That reaches the Cape and Islands to the southeast, the North Shore and Merrimack Valley to the north, and Worcester County and the eastern Pioneer Valley to the west.
Is my town on the list?
Every town we cover has its own page, 245 of them across twelve counties. Open your county and find your town; if it is not there, call (781) 974-4263 and ask anyway.
Do you charge more for towns farther away?
Distance is part of planning any job, and it is talked through openly at the walkthrough. Nothing about it is hidden in the written scope.
Why does each town page show census figures?
Because the age and type of the houses in a town shapes the work. An 1890s house in a city and a 1990s colonial on a cul-de-sac need different things, and the numbers say which kind of town you live in.
Who comes out for the walkthrough?
Steve Murphy, the owner, who holds an unrestricted Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License.
