High-end interiors built to the room
These are the jobs where the details are seen up close: stain-grade trim, cabinets made to the room, and rooms built for one purpose. Modern Remodeling runs them from Raynham with a written scope, regular updates and Steve's name on the finished work.

How a high-finish job runs here
It starts with a walkthrough. Steve looks at the rooms and the house around them, and asks what decides the work: what stays, what you have already picked, and who else is involved, such as an architect, a designer or an audio installer. From that we write a scope that says what we will build, which finishes it assumes and what is still open, and the price is tied to that written scope.
Once work starts, you deal with us directly. If a wall opens up and shows old water damage or wiring that has to come out, you hear about it that day, with what it means for the job. Changes are written down and agreed before they are built. Steve spent years working for guys that lacked communication, and he runs his jobs the other way.
Permits go through your town's building department under 780 CMR, with inspections as the work reaches each stage. Licensed electricians and plumbers do that work, as Massachusetts requires. Finished floors and stairs get covered, and the site is cleaned at the end of each day.
How to tell these pages apart
Luxury Home Remodeling changes how several rooms work together. High-End Home Renovations updates a house that was built well while matching the plaster, trim and floors you keep. Luxury Kitchen Remodeling covers kitchens planned around heavy stone and professional equipment.
Inside, Custom Interior Construction is the shape of the rooms: walls, ceilings and openings framed to drawings. Custom Home Interiors is the finished layer built to your selections. High-End Finish Carpentry is woodwork where every joint shows, Custom Cabinetry is cabinets made to the room's measurements, and Custom Built-Ins are the bookcases, window seats and benches built into the walls.
Then come the rooms with one job. A wine cellar holds temperature and humidity. A theater keeps sound in and light out. A bar needs water and power behind the counter, and a gym needs a floor that takes weight. Smart Home Construction is the wiring put in before the walls close, and Luxury Outdoor Living is the outdoor room built to the house's standard.
What the finish level changes on site
Mostly it is tolerance. A stain-grade casing has nowhere to hide a gap, and a cabinet run made to the room cannot absorb a wall that is half an inch out of plumb the way stock boxes with fillers can. The framing, drywall and floors underneath have to be right first. In older New England houses, with plaster, settled floors and balloon framing, that means checking and correcting before the finish goes on, and telling you when it needs doing.
It also changes the order of the job. The weight of a slab, the size of a hood or the spot for a speaker decides what gets framed and wired, so selections come before the work that depends on them. If something you chose takes a long time to arrive, you hear that early. Houses built before 1978 may have lead paint, and work in them follows lead-safe practices.

Luxury questions
Do I need a designer, or do you design the rooms?
We build to drawings and selections. Many owners doing this kind of work bring an architect or interior designer, and we work with them directly. If you do not have one, Steve can talk through layout and finishes at the walkthrough and tell you when the town will want drawings for the permit.
Will you work with my AV installer or systems integrator?
Yes. The integrator chooses and programs the equipment. We build the room, run conduit, and set boxes and blocking where they need them, and we plan the order so their wiring goes in before drywall. Line voltage work is done by a licensed electrician.
How are changes handled once work has started?
In writing, before anything is built. You see what the change is and how it affects the price and the schedule, and you agree to it first. Nothing gets added to your job without you knowing about it.
Can you match the trim and millwork in an older house?
In most cases, yes. A profile that is no longer stock can usually be matched by having knives cut for it or by building it up from stock pieces. We will tell you at the walkthrough which way your house needs, and if a match is not realistic we say so.
Can we live in the house while you work?
Often, yes. Single-room projects are usually done with the work area closed off and dust protection in place. A kitchen or a whole floor is harder to live around, and we will tell you plainly at the walkthrough what to expect.
Do you work outside Raynham?
Yes, within about a hundred miles of Raynham. That covers the South Coast, the South Shore, Boston and Metro West, Worcester County, the North Shore, and Cape Cod and the Islands.
